A Writer’s Prayer: Isaiah 40:10

Lord,

It’s so much easier for me to take those difficult steps of faith when I remember that You are right here beside me. There are so many questions in this life. So much uncertainty. And I wonder sometimes, did I hear You correctly?

But when I stop and take a moment to look and to listen, I always find You right where You say You’ll be. And as I learn to lean on You more, I’m discovering that I am becoming stronger, bolder, and the words that so easily escaped me yesterday are so much easier to grasp today.

Help me remember that You placed the dream in my heart to be a writer, and You created that dream for specific purpose. Don’t allow me to hide from that purpose during moments of fear or confusion. Rather, use those moments to remind me of all the obstacles You and I have already faced together—and overcome.

Signed,
