I can pursue my writing with courage because that’s who You created me to be. And that is why I can continue to press on in hope and praise, regardless of what the voices and images around me are saying.
2020 has been a year of the unexpected. But, for as hard as it’s been, it hasn’t been a complete disaster. And for as uncertain as 2021 still looks to be, I know that it will be filled with some pretty unexpected and incredible opportunities for all of us. We just have to be willing to wait, watch, and trust.
It’s easy to get bogged down by deadlines, word counts, and pesky little details that just won’t seem to iron themselves out, Lord.
If You can fill this world with insects and flowers and blades of grass that are as unique from each other as I am from my own family and friends, then surely I can rest in the knowledge that You can restore and deepen the creativity that I need in order to show up at my desk each day.
