Writers spend years learning the craft of storytelling and how to master the art of creating fantastic worlds. But for many, figuring out the plot of their own writing journey continues to elude them. What’s a writer to do when they have an idea of where they want to end up, but can’t seem to muster up the courage and the gumption to press ahead?

What would change if we approached our writing journey the way we’re taught to approach our stories? Our writing journey is, after all, a story with a beginning (filled with excitement and wonder), a middle (in which there’s a lot of questioning “What I was thinking?”), and an end goal (in which we hope to avoid soul-crushing defeat).
